Steps Corner Store Program

Steps Corner Stores are small neighborhood mini-markets, bodegas, and convenience store-delis.  Participating stores agree to promote and sell at least two healthier foods and snacks and listen to their customers’ requests for healthier items.  Many participating stores have Shelf Tags indicating their healthier items in the store. Healthier items being sold include: fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, fruit cups, dried fruits, 100% fruit juices, bottled water, whole-grain cereals, whole-wheat breads, whole-wheat crackers, 1% and fat-free milk, low-fat dairy products, olive oil and canola oil.
